Succulents
Succulents have become a favorite for plant enthusiasts. Given the wide variety of colors and shapes, succulents are a lovely addition to any plant collection. They prefer warm temperatures and need to be shielded from cold and freezing temperatures. Medium to bright light locations (not in full sun) are perfect. Since succulents store water in their leaves, it is not necessary to water often. Wait until the soil is dry before watering again. Too much water near the roots will cause them to die.
Most succulents are also very easy to propagate, a great starting place for a beginner. Don’t toss the leaves that fall off of the main plant – they can be rooted to make another succulent plant!
